Golden Gaming, Inc. Announces Justin McVay as Public Relations Manager

McVay’s role as public relations manager of Golden Gaming, Inc., will be to oversee and manage the public relations efforts for their 40 taverns in Las Vegas and Reno, three hotel-casinos near Denver, Colorado, and one hotel-casino in Pahrump, Nevada, as well as slot route operations, Golden Route Operations, throughout the state.

McVay brings with him more than 13 years of experience in communications. Prior to joining Golden Gaming, Inc., McVay worked for Golden Nugget where he served as public relations manager for three years. He managed all public relations activities for the largest and most respected hotel-casino in downtown Las Vegas, as well as its sister property in Laughlin, Nev. He also served as the spokesperson for the 3,000-employee hotel-casino operation to the press and customers. Prior to that, McVay worked as a public affairs officer for the U.S. Air Force for six years, reaching the rank of Captain. While serving in the Air Force, McVay held several positions including deputy chief of public affairs at Malmstrom Air Force Base, Mont., and chief of internal communication and media relations for Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. In these capacities, McVay directed the internal and external communications for the bases by evaluating issues, building strategies and plans, authorizing messages, and targeting local, regional, national and international press to achieve Department of Defense, Air Force and installation communication goals.

McVay received a bachelor’s of arts degree in communication from The University of Alabama and has also studied at the DOD’s Defense Information School and the MIT-Harvard Public Disputes Program at Harvard Law.
