PT's Entertainment Group and the Shane Victorino Foundation to host 5th annual toy drive benefiting local children

The 5th Annual Shane Victorino Foundation Toy Drive will support Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada, The Shade Tree, and Matthew's Closet on Saturday, Dec. 15 at 12 p.m. at Sierra Gold on South Jones Boulevard and I-215

LAS VEGAS - Dec. 11, 2012 - PT's Entertainment Group (PTEG), operator of PT's and Sierra Gold taverns, and the Shane Victorino Foundation (SVF) are again hosting a toy drive benefiting local children of Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada, The Shade Tree, and Matthew's Closet. Major League Baseball All-Star Shane Victorino will be in attendance at Sierra Gold, located at 6515 South Jones Boulevard at I-215, for the event on Saturday, Dec. 15 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

SVF was founded by two-time All Star, three-time Gold Glove award winner, and newly signed Boston Red Sox outfielder Victorino and his wife, Melissa. SVF is dedicated to promoting opportunities for underserved youth. The foundation engages in projects which provide children with educational, recreational, and wellness programs.

PTEG and SVF urge supporters to donate a new, unwrapped toy at the toy drive. The children's charity organizations are in need of toys and other gifts for kids up to 17 years of age.  The first 200 guests to arrive and donate a toy will automatically receive a pre-signed Shane Victorino autographed item. Additional guests to donate can enter to win autographed memorabilia.

"We are honored, once again, to be partnering with the Shane Victorino Foundation in hosting the holiday toy drive benefiting Las Vegas and Henderson children," expressed Steve Arcana, Chief Operating Officer of Golden Gaming, operator of PTEG. "Las Vegas is such a kind and generous community. With their help, we hope to enhance children's lives and fill their hearts with the holiday spirit."

"I am thankful for the opportunity to give back and make the holidays a little brighter for children in need." said Victorino. "My wife, Melissa, and I have made Las Vegas our off-season home and we are grateful for the support we continue to receive, year after year, for this event."

The toy drive will be held on Saturday, Dec. 15 between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. at Sierra Gold, in the banquet room located upstairs, at 6515 South Jones Boulevard at I-215. Beneficiaries include Catholic Charities of S. Nevada, The Shade Tree shelter, and Matthew's Closet.
